[Rd] Core dump with R --encoding=foo -e 1 (non-existing encoding)

Trying to launch R with a *non-existing* encoding core dumps/crashes,
e.g. R --encoding=foo -e 1.

EXAMPLES:

> R --encoding=foo -e 1
