It does not happen in the Korean locale with 2.7.0 or 2.7.1 on my machine 
(XP SP3, International English).

Please do help us by submitting a suitable patch.  Only someone with the 
problem can do so.

We don't even know what you mean by 'crashes' (a word the R posting guide 
specifically asks you not to use) nor what language you are running R 
under.
