[Rd] Checking versions in Imports field?

Hi,

Package authors can specify the minimum required version of a
dependency using:

   Depends: somePackage (>= 1.2.3)

Is there a way to demand a minimum version when importing a
dependency?  Version specifiers in the Imports field are currently
ignored AFAICT.
