Sorry that wasn't clear. The disablement occurs only when pasting into 
RGui, and does not occur when pasting into Notepad, hence the workaround 
using Notepad as intermediary. Once the clipboard is unavailable in 
RGui, it is also unavailable in Notepad and presumably all other 
applications.
