Thanks, Prof. Ripley.  I downloaded the new admin.R and used that in
place of one in R-2.0.0 build directory.  The compile went fine.  So,
for the record, R-2.0.0 + Prof. Ripley's fixed admin.R compiles fine on
"alphapca56-unknown-linux-gnu".
