[Rd] Problems with embedded R for v1.5.0

I've just tried using both Duncan's RSPython and Walter Moriera's rpy with R
1.5.0.  Both segfaulted during startup in exactly the same place,
apparently while trying to load the ctest package.  Recompiling the packages
doesn't seem to have any effect on this outcome.

Here's the first few lines of a gdb backtrace:

Has anyone else found problems with embedded R with version 1.5.0?  Did
anything change in the proper way to start up embedded R?
