[Rd] Solaris 2.6 Compile (PR#1268)

As you mentioned below, R 1.3.1 does compile on Solaris with gcc 2.95.  I've tried 
both Solaris 2.5.1 and Solaris 2.6 with this, and they are fine.  Moving to gcc 
3.03 however causes the problem.
