[Rd] R1.4.0 under Windows NT, package grid/lattice (PR#1234)

Today I downloaded and installed R1.4.0 for Windows from
"http://cran.at.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/SetupR.exe".
I also downloaded "http://cran.at.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/grid.zip"
and "http://cran.at.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/lattice.zip" and then
installed the packages from my local zip files.

Running the following commands (Windows NT 4.0) causes R to crash:

> library(lattice)
> plot(1:10)
