I don't see anything relevant on those pages: in particular no details of
using savehistory as your wording suggests.  Given that savehistory is not
available everywhere, it would not be a suitable example for .Last.  I
don't see the point of a link to .Rprofile.

Note that .Last is not necessarily run when R quits, so the method I think
you are advocating is not actually automatic.

Can you explain your suggestion?
