Its pretty scary stuff alright :)

I am mucking about in the graphics code at the moment and one of the things
I hope to get to is this "3D" stuff.  The plan is to make it more modular
and especially separate the *calculation* of things like contours from the
actual *rendering* of them (another good example is returning the
transformation matrix from persp()).
