[Rd] Segmentation Fault

On Solaris, the example below sometimes, but not always, cause "bus Error - core
dumped" or "Segmentation Fault - core dumped" when I compile R 1.3.1 with gcc
3.0.1, but not when I compile with gcc 2.92.2.  There remains the probability
that my system is messed up, but I would appreciate if others could check
whether this gives a problem.
