[Rd] Possible improvement of "read.fwf"

Dear R developers

I have little improvement to "R base", that I hope you will include in the official version.

Using the new connection possibilities, and important option is to read a limited amount of data each time. In the "scan"-function, this can be done with the "n" and "nmax" options, but I have found no such possibilities in "read.fwf". This is a limitation in reading large fixed formatted data files, and at:

You will find my suggestion to improve the "read.fwf".
