Hi -
I'm trying to install R to a supercomputer which has a Fortran 77
compiler; however,
when i do ./configure I receive this error . . .


checking for g77... /usr/local/gnu/bin/g77
checking whether the Fortran 77 compiler (g77  ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: Fortran 77
compiler cannot create 
executables.


Can you tell me what I need to do?
