[Rd] read.xport() bug (PR#981)

All packages have a version number, in their DESCRIPTION file or via

package.description("foreign")$Version

I suspect this is 0.4-3, but please confirm.

We do need a reproducible example to make any sense of this bug report, and
for that we need fdt.tpt.  Could you please attach that file to your reply.
