In simulation analyses that use function rnorm(1), I encountered the following
error message from time to time:

.Random.seed[2] is not a valid integer

The chance of such error message is about 1/20000 replications.

I am using the precompiled RPM for alpha on a Compaq XP 1000 workstation. When I
compiled R myself, the same problem exists.
