[Rd] PR #927 -- R crash on huge CSV file (PR#927)

This came in as a new report because of the space between PR and #

Resending it to get it filed correctly.

(BTW: a growth factor of 3-4 is not unexpectable on CSV files since
internal storage of numeric values is in 8-byte doubles.)
