Yes.  But leaving it currently "appears" to follow the principle of
least surprise.

The alternative would be to have 2 prompts for R (and similarly for
Stata, which also works on a "Dataspace" principle (only one dataset
at a time)).

Which is the alternative.  I'm going to change it to this, unless I
hear some screams.
