And you will see the centring looks wrong, as the `box' is not centred but
the box plus text on the left only. Professionals tell me this is a common
mistake by LaTeX users.  (Actually, LaTeX does not add any space
before or after the picture, although your macro package might, and the
`center' environment does. The standard graphics inclusion mechanism,
graphicx, builds a TeX box exactly enclosing the bounding box.)
