I use StarOffice under WinNT and it seems that the RTF files it produces
cannot be read by MS Word. I am not sure that RTF is really "portable".

And yes, we can produce PostScript figures under Windows as well.
Question: what will be the editorial policy of R Newsletter? Will papers be
