It seems, to some extent.
make went all smooth with the additional -D_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED
CFLAGS.

My few tests (graphic, dyn.load, Inf,...) completed well
including the  "make check" part till it comes to testing the
"specifics" in ./tests/ which dies when it tries to remake package `eda',
the problem being the already reported Problem when cp'ing libraries that
are already there..
    cp: ../../../../library/lqs/libs/lqs.so: Text file busy
[[that problem is being fixed as well..]]
