--save and memory

On closer inspection... 

(a) R 0.63 *always* exits without saving in case of error, so there
was nothing to fix in the first place!

(b) the "[Previously saved...]" bit got printed before R even tried to
load anything. Just a matter of reshuffling lines in system.c.
