I don't see a smiley so I'll bite ... When I said "alpha" I meant by
implication the entire greek alphabet (upper and lower case). I was
really asking if it would be a problem that we don't have big
"operators" like \sum, \prod, \lim, \int etc. Expressions this
complex are probably better banished to a caption.
