Thanks for the update. (Writing something about mailing list archives
had been on my mind for some time now, but I could bot decide whether
CRAN should start mirroring the archives right away ...)
The FAQ now says,
Archives of the three mailing lists are made publicly available on the
net in a monthly schedule at ftp://ftp.stat.math.ethz.ch/Mail-
archives/ (which is a directory of mail archive files).
