[ESS] Aquamacs cannot find file at startup

as nobody else mentioned the obvious:
You explicitly load a file above, "~/elisp/...../ess-site.el",
and the emacs error message says
    'No such file or directory'

I cannot imagine that such an error message would not be
correct.

==> Please do load a version of 'ess-site.el' that exists  ...
