[ESS] Start 64bit R (was: ESS 15.03 released)

hi Kevin,

I vaguely remember saying that I'd take a look - why not send what you
have to us, and then I'll see how easy it is.

But if you already have a working solution, what do you need improving
(beyond us perhaps adding something like it into ESS for others
benefit)?
