[ESS] ESS default R not the newest (MS Windows)

M-x R is invoking the program that inferior-R-program-name refers to;
the problem is that this isn't the newest R on the system.
M-x R-new will launch the newest.
inferior-R-program-name is only the newest personal copy, not the newest overall.

So that's that is what should be called when you do M-x R. Apparently
that's not the case for you. Are you overwriting default R command? A
quick way to test: M-: (setq inferior-R-program-name "junk") and see if
next M-x R is giving you an error.
