[ESS] R crash on ESS

This is a complex issue at a much deeper layers than ESS code is
positioned. Most likely it is a bug in maxent-rjava interaction which
shows in emacs sub-processes only. We have a peculiar sigfault bug on
github that shows only in emacs/ESS/Mac, and technically has nothing to
do with ESS. This one seems similar.

I use rgdal but the instructions that you gave are not clear to me. When
exactly the sigfault occurs?


Could you try with plain terminal "R --no-readline --no-save" (or
whatever your custom R command is for running from ess) and then
library(ESSR)?
