[ESS] ESS with Julia built from source breaks plotting

Awesome!  Thanks Vincent!

So I fixed my julia problem, and now it works on your emacs!  I just
have one issue: I'm unable to save my IRC chats (erc).  I get the
error: "Text is read-only".  Do you know why this happens?
