[ESS] install location of stata on linux

I'm having the same problem described below.

If I try to start stata locally via ess, I get the error message
"/usr/bin/env: stata: No such file or directory"

Oddly, if I type "/usr/bin/env stata" into a terminal, stata starts
there just fine.

Any ideas?  I've scoured the internet, and haven't found anything useful.
