[ESS] iESS[Stata] quirks

I'm not much of a Stata user or an iESS user so this might just be due
to my lack of experience. But, there appear to be a few quirks in
iESS[Stata]. So, I have two issues.

1) the #delimit command can only be used in .do files. But, of course,
I may want to step through a .do file with iESS. However, since the
#delimit command is not allowed then, it can be painful. Ok, this was a
dumb design on Stata's part; I'll grant you. But, maybe iESS[Stata]
could watch for a '#delimit ;' command and then handle the input
accordingly, i.e. split the input at ';' and send each part as
a single line.

2) similar problems occur when there are embedded comments. Since
ESS recognizes comments, this might be handled easier, but it still
needs to be handled.

Do others agree? Or am I just not experienced enough with iESS[Stata]?

Rodney
