[ESS] Incomplete commands hang Emacs when using C-c C-t

... or sometimes just going to the iESS buffer (the command line) and  
typing in the missing parenthesis, followed by RET? If the R prompt  
is + instead of >, the process in not hanged, it is just waiting for  
a complete expression.
