After deleting the offending font-latex.el file yacas-notebook supplies, I got
it to work.  It looks like a useful tool, especially since yacas also spits
out tex output.  

Even though the model used in yacas-notebook might not be good enough for
larger analysis job with R, it does look interesting in that you get to pick
which cell/chunk to update (albeit manually).
