I just installed the Debian package ess_5.2.3-2 and now get an error when invoking R-mode in xemacs from the xemacs_21.4.15-8 package. The message is Symbol's function definition is void: replace-regexp-in-string My ~/.xemacs/init.el contains (require 'ess-site) (require 'ess-noweb)
