Ok, now I'm really confused.  Are you talking about Darwin for Intel (rather 
than Darwin for PPC AKA OS X)?  If so, then there may be hope if you can find 
the source code for lxrun.  It allows you to run Intel Linux ELF binaries on 
Intel Unix natively.  If you are talking about Darwin for PPC, then it would 
require two things that I don't think exist:  PPC Linux ELF binaries of S-Plus 
and a PPC port of lxrun or it's equivalent.  Of course, you could run Windows 
S-Plus under Virtual PC on OS X, but the performance will be horrible.
