To see how we catch ?<anything>, see inferior-R-input-sender in ess-inf.el.
This depends on the value of `inferior-ess-primary-prompt'. The default
value is
inferior-ess-primary-prompt's value is 
"[a-zA-Z0-9() ]*> ?"

Your date and time prompt probably doesn't satisfy this regexp.  If you
construct a more complex regexp you should be able to make it work.
