ESS 5.1.18 on Solaris

BTW,

I'm running Xemacs over the Exceed X-server emulator.  When I start xemacs
with the -nw option doing M-x R <RET> works just fine.

Hi Tony,  

I'm trying to use ESS 5.1.18 on my Sun Ultra here 
(uname -a ==> SunOS gsun124 5.8 Generic_108528-03 sun4u sparc
SUNW,Ultra-5_10)

I've downloaded and installed ess in .xemacs/ess-5.1.18/

When I do (require 'ess-site) there are no errors.

However, when I ask for R-mode via M-x R <Ret>, I get the message:

  "Wrong number of arguments: #<subr x-get-resource>, 2"


I don't remember having seen this error previously.  Ideas?
