problem with S object name completion

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions about S object name completion in ESS (version
5.1.18). I have emacs, Splus 6, and R1.2 installed on our Linux box
(Mandrake 7.1). I followed the instructions in the README file and created
the object name database files for both Splus and R. The questions are:

1. The ESS does not recognize objects that I created (either in R or
Splus). Is this the expected behavior?
2. There seems to be several things missing in the database. It doesn't
contain things like "rnorm"! What could be wrong?

TIA.

Andy
