ESS auto-completion and help() faster?

Dear ESS help,

	I have been using R on our Unix system and I have recently installed
NT Emacs, R, and ESS on my local NT machine. I was wondering if the slowness
on auto-completion and help() was to be expected, or whether there might be
a way to speed things up. Both worked very quickly on the Unix version. I've
tried M-x ess-create-object-name-db on my NT machine but it didn't seem to
help much.

	Details:

GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i386-*-nt5.0.2195)
ess version 5.1.9
R version 1.21
