infinite loop in xemacs (20.0) w/ ESS for SAS (5.1.18)

we are in luck.  That is a variable so all you have to do is make it bigger.
Try (setq max-specpdl-size 740) in your .emacs file.

Currently ess-site.el checks and adjusts that variable to at least 700.
Let us know what value you actually need for your setup and we will change
the setting in ess-site.el to be even bigger than that.  On my ntemacs 20.7
the default is the 740 I just quoted to you.
