Ok, it *is* included in the ESS development sources, 
to become 5.1.17  `real soon now'..

As mentioned earlier, I've also added the toggable possibility to make 
the "_" key generate the " <- " string.

Question is: Should this (magic "_" key)
	 be *on* by default, or off [as it is now].
	 I'd vote for *on* ..
Other opinions?
