Gnuserv, NTEmacs, Windows 2000 and R

as far as i know,
we still have an rterm and especially rgui problem under win2k.
on my athlon win2k machine, rterm and rgui still crash when i try to do
graphics.
a simple 
plot(1:10)
crashes both.

so even after guido's and brian's fix (thanks to both of them)
there still are some unsolved problems which might
be part of the emacs ess r problem.
