Can I remove old Emacsen support?

Thanks, it's currently in the anoncvs repository if you want to look
at it. Or wait and submit suggestions...

This is the "ugly" fix I was referring to... (we've grown by 3 files,
2 externally produced, to get the multi-emacsen/multi-version support
"better" along with customize)
So, it looks like barring catastrophes on the vaccine side of my job,
we'll have a new version, with customize (and ess-site for full-site
(well, I'm hoping for wednesday night, but...).
So, the consensus is that we need to keep Emacs 19.34 support (Rich --
do we still need 19.29/19.27 support).
What about XEmacs 20.4 or XEmacs 19.14? (which I guess I could
compile up, but...).
