SAS process under Windows NT

I apologize because I suspect that this question is redundant. (BTW, are
there archives for this list?)

Is it possible to run SAS in ESS under Windows NT? If so, what are the
necessary modifications? I have installed ESS succesfully for editing
purposes and tried M-X SAS unsuccessfully. The message from emacs is
"Spawning child process: invalid argument"

As always, thank you very much.

Sincerely,
