still cant start ESS process with ESS-SAS

Hi all,

The subject says it all.  I am still unable to get ESS to run any SAS code.  
When I start the SAS process using M-x SAS, then try and run a region, I get 
a "No ESS processes running".  I have in the past been referred to the 
README.SAS file, but there is no  reference to this error.  I am running on 
Debian Linux with SAS 8.2.  Any experience or help here would be great (then 
I can stop using the crappy SAS editor!)
