ess-mode; suggestion for... -- new pre-version available

I'll test it today -- hopefully, I'll have a new super-charged Athlon
workstation to play with (used to be exciting, now it's just a

Please, let's not go down this numbering route and alternative ftp
location route.  Please just release, and send mail to the particular
folks.  We can release 5.1.15 soon-ish, too.  I'd really like to keep
momentum!  If you do do this, please leave a copy on the ESS archive,
for historical reasons.

One alternative would be to add a tag to the cvs archive, for
testing.
