Thanks Rodney, I could reproduce on my code in the morning (with C-c C-c
this time).

This happens because of background evaluation when the process looks not
to be busy, but it actually is! Then all sort of conflicts arise. Your
output ends up in " *ess-get-words*" buffer.

I don't see any easy way to correct that, so I deactivated all the
caching/syncing in the background (the eldoc still stays though).

I have started cooking some code to get two-way communication with the R
process as in SLIME. That is the only solution for the above problems
which I see right now.
