[ESS-bugs] 1 vs. 1.

I just got around to testing 12.09 r4989.  There is one issue
with highlighting that I don't like.  '1' is highlighted in
an annoying hospital yellow.  I guess I could live with that.
But '1.' is not highlighted at all.  Having just spent the
best part of 3 weeks coding in C/C++, I think we should make
no distinction between integers and doubles; leave that to the
strongly typed languages.
