I don't get this error with "?factor" on Emacs 22.0, but I have an
older CVS Emacs:

(emacs-version)
"GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.2.4)
 of 2006-01-13 on notch.damtp.cam.ac.uk"

I'll see about upgrading sometime and check again if it is an issue.
