[ESS-bugs] Problems with S+common-cust-alist

  I have Splus62 installed on a Windows XP machine, and XEmacs21-4-13. I
have downloaded the most recent version of ESS and unzipped as directed.
After adding the load-file statement to my init file, I get the
following init error when I start up Xemacs. I have managed to check
that the variable S+common-cust-alist is not defined in Xemacs. Needless
to say, I can't start S+6 within Xemacs...

Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you for any help!
===================================

(1) (initialization/error) An error has occurred while loading
c:\Documents and Settings\deborah.SCHARP\.xemacs\init.el:

Symbol's value as variable is void: S+common-cust-alist

To ensure normal operation, you should investigate the cause of the error
in your initialization file and remove it. Use the `-debug-init' option
to XEmacs to view a complete error backtrace.
