[ESS-bugs] ess-mode 5.1.21; "fontifying" takes forever

ESS 5.1.21 is over two years old.
The current version of ESS is 5.2.0beta3.  I recommend upgrading and seeing
if this problem has already been dealt with.

I use NTemacs on Windows XP and do not recall seeing this problem.
